Does IP Find use an outside script to resolve the public IP?

Yes. Ip Find uses an outside script to resolve the Public IP. The script address resides in the registry so that a user may create/utilize another location instead of the default provided. If this is done, be sure and set the html format so that it looks exactly like the resulting script html at the default script location. Contact SpiderRider support for details on how to do this.

What is SMTP? Where do I find this information?

Your SMTP server is the name of the mail server that is provided by your ISP. This server MUST provide AUTH LOGIN as a means of authentication or, it MUST NOT require authentication other than your IP address. You can find this information by contacting your ISP. *NOTE- IP find will not work with mail servers like "Hotmail or Yahoo".

Why do I see a "no connection" message when i am connected to the internet?

If IP Find seems to be displaying a no connection message when you are connected to the internet, you are most likely using an outdated version of IP Find. You will need to download version 1.1 or later.

Will IP Find work with dialup modems?

Yes. IP Find was specifically designed to be used with dialup modems. It will also work with cable modems and behind firewalls and routers. *Note- Some cable providers may alter your IP address in such a manner that you will not be able to find your computer from another location even though you are seeing the correct public IP. Please use the trial version to be sure IP Find does what you need BEFORE you regitster.

Will IP Find work before I register?

Yes. IP Find has full functionality until the mail message send limit is reached. All other aspects of IP Find will work before registering. This allows you to try before you buy.
